Star of Twin Peaks, muse of David Lynch, and stunning artist in her own right. Chrysta Bell is one of the most captivating artists working in dream pop today. A new album is on the way, and we're delighted to bring her ethereal music to Ramsgate in April 2019!
“The first time I saw her perform, I thought she was like an alien. The most beautiful alien ever” - David Lynch
Chrysta Bell's working relationship with David Lynch is legendary. They met in 1999 and wrote a song together that very same day. Since one of her songs appeared in his 2006 film Inland Empire, they have recorded an album and an EP together. "Chrysta Bell is round and fully packed", says Lynch. "What comes out of her reminds me of a light blue songbird with extended wings, and a shining beak." She went on to play FBI Agent Tammy Preston in Twin Peaks: The Return.
Chrysta Bell's music combines heavily affected moody guitars and classic Lynchian retro-tinged production with sensual melodies. Dark and airy musical soundscapes, occasionally punctuated by guitar stabs and car breaks screeching, conjure a dramatic atmosphere at times sinister, at times erotic, and has the power to seduce the listener into a fractured utopia located somewhere in the nowhere.

“Enigmatic and multi-faceted pop album full of sensuality, melodic sophistication and the spirit of the Bristol scene.” – Journal Frankfurt
“The Texan singer seems to have one foot in another world” – The Telegraph
“Like Lana Del Rey singing the songs of Serge Gainsbourg.” – NME
