Mutant Monster + Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam
Entry Requirements: All Ages
Japan’s high-kicking punk sisters MUTANT MONSTER are returning to Europe this November, shortly after releasing a special extended edition of their latest album overseas via JPU Records. Out on 2nd November, available to pre-order now!
This is essential for fans of The Clash, Sex Pistols and The Ramones, with even a little bit of Elvis thrown into the mix!
The latest album NEKOKABURI translates as “Lion in Cats Clothing", and it features the full tracklist of their upcoming Japan album TO TSU ZE N HE N I, plus a further two never before released songs, an entirely exclusive cover and booklet design. And, for the first time ever, English lyric translations will be available!
To celebrate, MUTANT MONSTER have released the music video to their brand new song Hanashiteageru (“I’ll Let You Go”), which has sent shockwaves through their fandom. The band members, who have had long hair since the band’s creation, can be seen cutting it short for this video and revealing an entirely new image for the band. “We donated our trademark black hair to children who are fighting against cancer,” says the band. “It took us two years to prepare our hair to the right length, and it takes around 20 people to donate their hair to create one wig. So we feel this is an important opportunity to spread about hair donation.”
With support from Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam - for fans of Weezer, Idles & Los Campesinos!
"Pete Dixon, Andy Bullock, Ralph Morton, and David Pendril Bentall make up the aptly named Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam- whose stripped-down set up enables them to bash out driving, gloriously widescreen alt-pop anthems at an alarming rate. With tracks evoking the best eras of Sebadoh and ‘Trail of Dead sieved through a modern, post-dreampop colander, SFL make you realise just how bad a job all of these NME-championed early 90s revivalists are doing at what they’re supposedly doing."
