Whispering Sons is a Belgian post-punk band currently residing in Brussels. Feeding on the dynamics of the city, their music unveils feelings of alienation, propelled by an urging and ominous sound. Their live performances feel agitated and uneasy, yet always remain raw and honest. Whispering Sons’ first EP ‘Endless Party’ was released in 2015, followed by two 7 inches in 2016 and 2017. After winning Humo’s Rock Rally in 2016, one of Belgium’s most prestigious national contests, the band has been touring Belgium and Europe extensively, establishing their strong live reputation. Their debut album ‘Image’ is out now.
Touring extensively in Europe over the past few years, they’ve developed quite a reputation for their animated performances. The band just wrapped up a mini-tour with The Soft Moon, but will soon play several shows with British legends Gang of Four, not to mention headlining a series of European live dates in support of this album. Considering how big, calculated and haunting their sound is, it’s no wonder bands like The Soft Moon and Gang of Four chose them as touring partners. Their debut album further underlines their excellence.
"One of those rare albums with such a narrative cohesion that envelopes its listener into an alternate reality, if not entirely in its lyrics, definitely in its atmosphere. This collection of ten songs conjures visions of a gestalt exorcism through the eyes of a haunted mind whose image of reality is blurred by profound terror" - Post-Punk
