Peluché are one of the finest young groups around, having just released their debut album on Björk's record label that Rolling Stone has described as "stunning". They are masters of tension and thoughtful arrangers; adding sonic details that reward closer listening again and again.
"Think Haim, drunk, in Camden, transplanted back to the start of the 80s" - The Guardian
Described by themselves as 'sensual and evocative', Peluché are pioneers of ‘Trip Jam’, an emerging genre that fuses elements of Latin, funk, psychedelia, soul and hip-hop. The hotly tipped trio are a troupe of intrepid troubadours, whose freewheeling artistry has already cemented their position as a standout force in London’s diverse music scene.
This is striking stuff, evoking a past not pursued, so that it starts to sound like the future. With so many styles and genres sitting side by side, it feels like they might all clash, but they each, somehow, find their own space. Peluché are a band fumbling in their own sweet way towards something quite original.
They released their debut album via One Little Indian Records in September, and it's shaped up to be one of the most distinct and vital British sounds of 2018:
"Unforgettable is an album that locks you in its grasp and drags you along on the utterly charming journey it sets out." - The Line of Best Fit
